In California, nearly half of students speak languages other than English at home. It can be difficult for these students’ families to meaningfully connect with teachers in order to support their children’s education. With our grant, TalkingPoints will build a multilingual texting platform for parents and teachers to communicate across language divides. Over the next two years, this tool will help over 1 million families start conversations to drive students’ achievement.
