Georgia VECTR Center, CGTC

Fund industrial systems equipment, allowing the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center to establish and sustain training for transitioning military and veterans in high-demand advanced manufacturing and industrial equipment maintenance

The Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center, an operational unit of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), will establish a training program for transitioning military and veterans. Georgia needs skilled workers in manufacturing, and companies gravitate toward veterans to fill positions. Industrial systems maintenance training typically takes two years, a gap that Georgia and these families cannot afford. A one-time investment in equipment allows the VECTR Center/CGTC to implement 15-week training and create a lasting impact for our veterans and a sustainable workforce model for Georgia’s growing manufacturing industry.
