BAF trains public primary school teachers to bridge competency gaps in their teaching methodology and subject area deficiencies. In two years, we have trained 300 teachers from 18 public schools by exposing them to six practical workshop sessions. Each training workshop is followed by a classroom observation visit to ensure that the right methodology is being used by the teacher and value is being transferred to the pupils. In 2019, the project will be scaled to impact 1,050 teachers across 100 schools who will, in the course of their service, help more than 700,000 children access the right type of education. Ultimately, this will enhance the dignity of teachers in Nigeria while, at the same time, improving the learning outcome of primary education in Nigeria.
