CodeUp! provides recently graduated coders with the opportunity to gain practical experience, increasing their probability of employment. The graduates support local startups by developing working prototypes of their product or solution, enabling them to test it in market and to generate revenues. In addition, both coders and startup founders are guided through the product design and customer validation process to ensure the solution meets a market need. The programme, run in Soweto, aims to employ 40 coders over a two year period to work with 12 startups.
