The MakerSpace Foundation is extending its social innovation outreach with the Shintsha Umhlaba project (Zulu for Change the World). The MakerSpace works with people from all ages and backgrounds, leveraging disruptive technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution to help people make things that improve the world around them. By lowering the barrier of entry for people to develop their own solutions using technology, the MakerSpace is inviting everyone to reconsider consumer behavior and become an innovator, and to innovate for good. The MakerSpace plans to open 200 more locations across Southern Africa.
