A survey by the Czech Banking Association in 2022 found that only 13% of Czechs possess the skills to manage their own finances effectively, while 45% of the general population lacks the knowledge to handle household budgeting. These gaps are exacerbated by existing socioeconomic disparities, and are particularly prominent amongst young people.

To address this challenge, Nekrachni will expand its financial education mobile app with new features, such as an AI-powered chatbot, to provide personalised insights and money management tips. The project aims to not only equip users with the confidence to navigate their own financial circumstances, but to fulfil their career aspirations, as well. Therefore, users will also find digital skills training resources which will help them t unlock professional growth opportunities.

Supported by Google.org Fellows, Nekrachni will build out robust backend software and lead a multi-day Hackathon to prototype their chatbot, as they grow their user base to 20,000 young people.
