In 2022, the Czech elementary school curriculum was updated to feature more advanced computer science content, but many educators lack the support required to effectively teach these concepts.

AI Dětem aims to fill this gap by designing informatika.gg, an AI-powered web application that uses natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs) to create and evaluate educational computer science materials for students and teachers.

Students can use the platform to engage with interactive content, complete assignments and quizzes, and chat with peers and teachers. Teachers can use the platform to efficiently design lessons and quizzes, and summarise students' scores.

With technical assistance from Google.org Fellows, AI Dětem will solidify its product vision and develop a first design sketch of what the tool will look like.

AI Dětem aims to reach an estimated 70,000 teachers and 1M+ students across the country, helping to alleviate the burdens of routine planning, and free up educators to focus on more bespoke student needs.
