An Cosán’s Virtual Community College’s Community Education Technology Network harnesses the power of technology to grow, develop and innovate community education for the 21st Century.

Digitalisation is altering the nature and future of work and education. Understanding the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation on work and life-long learning is key to supporting vulnerable and marginalized adults to achieve their potential in order to play an active part in our society. An Cosán VCC’s CETN supports community organisations enhance their organisational digital skills, embed technology enhanced learning in their curriculum, deliver a world class digital skills programme for their learners and future proof their curriculum for the new world of work in a digitised society.

An Cosán VCC is aiming to scale this project with CETN in order to lead the way amd ensure that 150+ community education organisations are supported to utilise technology to enhance education, create communities of practice, develop skills and demolish the digital divide thus supporting over 35,000 learners to be digitally proficient.
