UjuziKilimo leverages on the power of big data analytics and soil sensors to provide precision farming knowledge to small holder farmers. UjuziKilimo developed its own sensors that read soil characteristics in less than 5 minutes - compared to currently 2 weeks. Using big data analytics, they then deliver actionable recommendations to farmers on the most efficient way to apply resources like fertiliser and water. Building on the current 10,000 farmers in Kenya, UjuziKilimo aims to reach 300,000 farmers in the first year of this project.
