The Google.org Impact Challenge on Climate commits €10M to fund bold ideas that aim to use technology to accelerate Europe’s progress toward a greener, more resilient future. Selected organisations may receive up to €2M in funding and possible customised post-grant support from the Google for Startups Accelerator and the Google.org Fellowship to help bring their ideas to life.

Events in the Atlantic directly affect global weather. Saildrone deploy uncrewed vehicles in Earth’s harshest ocean environment to report this data in real time.
E04 — Climate Farmers
We’ve shaped our agriculture for high yields and food security. Climate Farmers think it’s time to reward a different and very important goal: soil health.
E05 — Normative
Normative want to help measure what matters in a sustainable world. Their automated carbon reporting identifies how businesses can reduce environmental impact.
E06 & E07 — Open Food Facts
Food production creates a quarter of global carbon emissions. Open Food Facts want to help us make smarter food choices by putting an Eco-Score on all food packaging.
EIT Climate-KIC is the EU’s climate innovation agency, working to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon and resilient world by enabling systems transformation. Headquartered in Amsterdam, it operates from 13 hubs across Europe and is active in 39 countries. EIT Climate-KIC was established in 2010 and is funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.
As a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC), it brings together more than 400 partners from business, academia, the public and non-profit sectors to create networks of expertise, through which innovative products, services and systems are developed, brought to market and scaled-up for impact.
